Archiving and Digital Preservation Policy

The KLISC Journal of Information Science and Knowledge Management (KLISC JISKM) is committed to the permanent availability and integrity of the scholarly record it publishes. To ensure long-term access, the journal participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a digital preservation service developed by the Public Knowledge Project specifically for journals using Open Journal Systems (OJS).

Long-Term Preservation in a Recognised Archive

All content published in KLISC JISKM is archived and preserved through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). The PKP PN is based on the proven LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) technology, developed by Stanford University Libraries. This system employs a decentralised and distributed network of servers to ensure that the journal's content remains secure, accessible, and usable over time, even in the event of technological failure or organisational change.

By using the PKP PN, KLISC JISKM ensures that:

Content Integrity: The authentic, original version of each article is preserved.
Perpetual Access: The scholarly record remains available to researchers, practitioners, and the public.
Risk Mitigation: Content is safeguarded against the risks associated with hardware failure, software obsolescence, or the journal ceasing operations.
